Social and Political Commentaries
These commentaries reflect the views of an involved and interested citizen, not just an analyst. While I can and do separate out facts and opinions in my day job as a public opinion analyst, here I have the luxury of unleashing my thought process on an unsuspecting public.

Political Observations (blog)
These are similar to the Political Analyses below, but here I have the luxury of asking and answering my own questions (on TV you generally answer the questions reporters ask—more or less). In writing this blog, I assume my audience citizens who have an above-average interested in politics, but are not obsessed with it (as I am). Accordingly, I write infrequently and only when I feel I have a significant observation to offer.

Arizona Economic Indicators Monitor (time series economic data)
The AEIM fills a void in available information about the state of our economy. Existing information about the economy all reflects "hard" data: sales, hires, payroll, etc. While clearly valuable, all such data looks backward. The AEIM examines attitudes and feelings about the future, providing forward-looking leading indicators of economic activity. And, since the Arizona Economy does not exist in a vacuum, patterns we observe in Arizona are likely to be reflected throughout the country.
